I am a passionate Full-stack Developer and Team Leader who is constantly
trying to find better ways to get things done. I also really enjoy contributing to Open Source.
I hope you had a chance to see my core values that I follow when I consider
my next opportunity before navigating straight to this page. Also, I have gathered several frequently
asked questions that almost all recruiters have been asking me all the time:
What am I interested in?
I am interested in various things, and it is hard to reason about this topic when technology
constantly changes.
As of August 2023, my core stack is based on Javascript. This includes but is not limited to,
node.js, react.js, next.js, nest.js, and others. I like what I am doing and can help anyone
looking for reliable development services, whether frontend or backend.
But at the same time, my interests are also not limited by only Javascript. That is why each
opportunity should be negotiated individually.
What do I like more, frontend or backend?
I am fullstack developer. I like to create great user interfaces as well as
build complex APIs. I hope to show some of my skills in my blog, but you can also check out my
career history and see the list of my projects.
Being a full-stack developer also means that I have some limits. For example, I do not work with
vue.js or Svelte on the frontend side. The same goes for the backend; I am only an expert in
some databases. I mostly use Postgresql but have experience with Mysql, MongoDB, and GCP
Datastore.
And I continue improving my skills daily, considering my desires and reality.
How many years do I have in X technology?
Node.js ~10 years
Javascript in general ~17 years
React.js ~8 years
PHP ~9 years
Java ~3.5 years
Ruby ~0.5 years
Numbers last updated in 2023
What education do I have?
I have Master Degree in Computer Science.

IKEA
Mar 2023 — current
Currently, I’m part of the big and experienced family at IKEA, where the scale of the challenges
is huge. It’s a fantastic opportunity to use everything I’ve learned to help solve complex
problems in a large, well-established organization.

Aug 2021 — Jan 2023 (1.4 years)
I joined a fast-growing startup for a year and a half, where we were expanding all over the
world. I focused on solving some really tricky but crucial problems, especially around how the
shopping cart worked. It was a high-pressure environment, but seeing the impact of our work was
really rewarding.

Feb 2017 — Aug 2021 (4 years)
I was part of a team tackling the challenge of making big e-commerce websites load super fast.
We used Agile methods, which meant working in a flexible and collaborative way to get great
results. I moved up to become a Tech Lead and a Team Lead, which involved interviewing new
people, mentoring the team, and helping to shape the products we were building.

Mar 2016 — Mar 2017 (1 year)
A year leading a project to build a fundraising platform for school kids was a big step in terms
of managing people and projects. My team and I built several connected microservices to make
sure the system was secure and reliable for donation campaigns. We also worked closely with the
stakeholders to review the system and figure out how to increase the conversion and the core
metrics – and we succeeded!

Jul 2014 — Mar 2016 (2 years)
I focused on building REST APIs, working closely with the mobile team on an app for personal
safety and health. This job also involved talking to clients in their offices, which helped me
understand what they really needed and how to bridge the gap between tech and business.

Aug 2010 — Jul 2014 (4 years)
For four years, I broadened my tech skills. I worked on all sorts of websites and online stores,
which meant getting deep into both how things look (front-end) and how they work behind the
scenes (back-end). At the same time, I helped set up infrastructure using Ubuntu and various
cloud services, which taught me a lot about how to run and manage systems (DevOps). I also kept
the existing Android app running smoothly and wrote handy scripts in Ruby to automate tasks and
make things more efficient – something I’ve always been keen on.

Dec 2007 — Jul 2010 (3 years)
My software development career kicked off with Java, where for three years I built web services
using GWT and developed some of the very first Android apps. This early stage gave me a solid
grounding in how clients and servers talk to each other and what mobile development was like
right at the beginning.
